Nathan Shelton

 Nathan Shelton (SAG-AFTRA/AEA) is a Chicago-based filmmaker. He is represented as a stage, screen, & voice actor by DDO Artists Agency. With an acting career spanning over 30 years, Nathan continues to work regularly in theatre, film, & television – including feature films such as Above Ground (Showtime), Aging Predators, Everything (featured on Tubi), Broken Faith, and MEAD (starring Robert Picardo, Patrick Warburton & Patton Oswalt).  On the small screen, he's been seen in the internationally acclaimed web series, Shadow Bound, the ATAS Award-winning web series, EPILOGUE, numerous commercials/industrials, as well as hosting the 4th season of the EMMY Award-winning television program, Show-Me Chefs. Aside from acting, he is an award-winning writer, director, & sfx makeup artist. Nathan’s Special Effects work can be seen in films such as the Oscar-nominated, Winter's Bone, The Rake, Above Ground, MEAD, PMS Cop & The Sky Has Fallen.  Nathan also serves as a private coach, script doctor, and offers workshops in acting, directing, & SFX Makeup Design.  He has worked for 11 years with Northwestern University's prestigious NHSI Film Institute as an instructor and mentor, and is thrilled to be in the Chicago Film Squad with such amazingly talented young artists.
